The course
Summerfast 10km 2025 is a BC Athletics sanctioned race.
The Summerfast 10K course is a scenic, flat, fast run along the Stanley Park Seawall.
The start is located on the seawall path near the Second Beach concession, west of Stanley Park Drive. The race course crosses Stanley Park Drive, swings around the south side of Lost Lagoon and passes beneath West Georgia Street before doing a short loop in Coal Harbour. From there runners head out onto the Seawall towards Lions Gate Bridge. The race course then follows along the Seawall in a counter-clockwise direction. The finish line is back at Ceperley Field, close to the start.
There are water stations at the 2.5k, 5k and 8k marks.

Para-athletes
Due to several tight corners early in the race and the shared-use nature of the course, the Summerfast 10K is not an appropriate event for competitive wheelchair athletes. Participation by recreational para-athletes will be considered on a case-by-case basis in order to ensure the safety of the athlete, other runners, and pedestrians. Please contact the race director: racedirector[at]vfac.ca
Young athletes
We encourage parents who are considering registering their children in Summerfast to consult Athletics Canada’s guidelines on children and youth in road races, so that they are aware of the potential risks. The guidelines are available here.
Running with strollers
Runners with strollers are welcome to participate in this race though they are required to start at the back of the start line.
